Blueprint APS

During the Blueprint APS community engagement process, we learned that parents want choice, but not necessarily charter schools.  Parents prefer APS-run choices – a system of magnet schools across the District that capitalize on assets within regional boundaries.  These exciting specializations include a wide range of possibilities:  One Health; Business Management and Hospitality; Visual Design and Performing Arts; STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math); Technology, Engineering, and Design; Entrepreneurship and Invention; and Project-Based Learning.

As District enrollment declines, we have a unique opportunity to plan for exciting changes even as we have to make some hard choices.  Ultimately, rethinking our facilities plan while we strengthen community partnerships in each region will provide students with greater access to resources across the District.

Parents, students, and community members must work alongside District leadership to create the schools they dream of – schools that will deeply engage our students and help them shape successful futures.
